FAQ 1600 in English

One week before your arrival, you will receive by message a link to the welcome booklet, which will give you all the practical information about the studio you have rented in Arc 1600.

However, you may already have some questions as you prepare for your trip or simply want to confirm that you made the right choice. Feel free to call me (at +33 6 98 26 25 66) or ask me to send you the link to the welcome booklet ahead of time.

In the meantime, here is a small selection of the frequently asked questions my guests ask me after booking. Please take a look, and call me if you do not find the answer to your questions.

Location of the studio

The studio is located in the La Cascade residence, close to the shops, at the foot of the slopes, and just above the Cachette chairlift, which gives you access to the entire ski area — you simply have to glide down to the lift.

It is located 300 m from the funicular arrival station.

The studio is located in the second-to-last walkway, almost at the very top of the photo below. There are stairs running along the residence. You will need to use them to reach the studio or to go shopping.

Parking

Parking is free in Arc 1600 again this year (2025).

Outside the winter school holidays, finding a parking spot is not a problem. During the winter school holidays, you may need to drive around a bit, and it can be easier to come back and park in the evening once some spaces have been freed.

There is a drop-off area close to the residence for unloading your luggage.

Shops

There are many restaurants, grocery stores, and sports shops within a 200 m radius of the studio.

Ski storage

You will use a locked ski locker located in the walkway. You can leave your skis there and walk up to the studio with lighter gear.

Early or late arrival / Early or late departure

If you arrive early or late and the studio is already vacated, you will find the keys in a key box. This means you can arrive at any time, 24/7.

If the studio is occupied on the day of your arrival or departure, it must be vacated at 1:00 p.m. The departing guest is required to clean the studio so that the incoming guests can settle into a clean space.

However, on arrival or departure days, I ask that guests share the studio and make it available to store the departing guest’s luggage or to allow the arriving guest to drop off their bags. Keys should be shared accordingly, and left in the key box when leaving.

Beds

There is a loft bed (140×190 cm) for 2 people.

There are also 2 pull-out beds in the living room (90×200 cm).

Duvets, blankets, and pillows are available in the studio, but please remember to bring your own bed linen and towels, or rent them (see the next section).

Linen rental

You can rent linen from the concierge service in Arc 1600. However, please make sure that the shop’s opening hours match your arrival time.

Studio equipment

The studio is equipped with a SENSEO coffee machine (bring your own pods), a kettle, a raclette grill and a fondue set, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, and a television.

All necessary dishes and utensils are provided, as well as condiments if previous guests haven’t used them up.

Cleaning products are also available, along with a mop and a vacuum cleaner.

End-of-stay cleaning

The cleaning must be done at the end of your stay. A video call will be carried out to complete the check-out inspection.

If the cleaning is not done properly, a cleaning deposit may be withheld.

HEATING:

The studio is very well heated during the resort’s opening periods (the underfloor heating is very efficient). You can adjust the heating by using the thermostat located along the wall (the thermostat is under the small window), as well as the thermostat in the bathroom.

A black electric heater is located in the entrance, but it is disabled and only used for off‑season stays.

If needed, you will find a small fan heater on the shelves.
